Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Log In: Access Attend through the log in page and enter your email. Check your email for a one-time passcode to log in.

  2. Grant Permission to your browser to access the Microphone.

  3. Check Microphone Settings: Attend will display the microphone currently in use. Click the arrow next to the device name to select a different microphone if desired. Observe the volume meter below the microphone selector to confirm that sound is being registered.

  4. Start a Recording: Click the “Start Recording” button. You'll see the sound indicator change to red to confirm the system is recording.

  5. Monitor Volume Levels: Keep an eye on the microphone volume indicator to ensure the patient’s voice is being captured.

  6. Stop Recording: Click the “End and Process Encounter” button once the conversation ends.

  7. Review & Edit Draft Documentation: Attend will process the audio, generate clinical documentation and patient instructions, and display it for review. If you need to start your next visit while your documentation is in progress, simply click the new encounter button at the top left of the screen. Your initial documentation will process in the background.

  8. Transfer to your EHR or Patient Portal: Click on the Copy to clipboard button and then paste your note into your EHR. If you'd like to move sections over individually, you can simply click on any section title in your note to copy just that section to the clipboard.

Tips

  • Make sure you are in a quiet environment.

  • Position your device so that both you and the patient can be heard clearly.

  • When using a mobile device, avoid switching to other apps while recording or locking the screen. This can pause or interrupt recording.

  • You can use different devices to record encounters and edit documentation if preferred. For example, you can log into Attend on your smartphone to capture visits, and access the notes from your computer to more easily edit and transfer to your EHR.
