Attend is designed to maximize privacy and security. Patient data is processed and stored in a HIPAA compliant and secure fashion, using state of the art encryption. Attend takes the following steps to delete patient data once you’ve created your session documentation:

Audio: During your session, Attend continuously transcribes and immediately deletes audio data after it is successfully transcribed and processed. Audio data is not retained or used for any other purpose besides creating session-related documentation.

Clinical Documentation: After copying your documentation into the EHR, you have the option of immediately deleting your note. Attend will permanently delete the note 3 days after you mark it as deleted (providing you with a 3 day window to restore a note that was deleted by accident). All notes are marked deleted after 7 days if they are no longer being used.
